is an evaluative program whose mission is to generate and disseminate evidence about pediatric Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), to
ensure safe and informed use. This program has three components—research, education and clinical assessment—that together have been designed to:
The program's outpatient clinic, multidisciplinary team of providers, educational and research resources as well as its collaborative relationships provide the foundation to ensure these goals are achievable. By combining clinical assessment, research and education, CARE promotes rapid knowledge discovery and dissemination. CARE's educational and research programs were launched in 2003 and the clinical assessment program began in 2006.
